It’s with a mixed feeling I’ve been drifting today. After a crazy season with Mopar out as a sponsor and the loss of our team owner and friend Shaun Carlson, this weekend will be the end of a long and successful couple of years with Team Nuformz.
After no practice on Thursday we came out to the track this morning with the wrong gearing. The Nuformz boys changed it before the qualifying and I qualified 9th. The gearing was still a little off so the boys changed it a second time. The fan broke during qualification so we took the fan from my Demo car that I had on display.
During the top 32 practice the car over heated after 1 run. Unfortunately when they swapped the fan air came in to the cooling system and caused the car to over heat.
So over all not the best day but we are in the competition and tomorrow it’s all about tandem drifting. successful
