I got invited to go down and pre-run the BAJA500 with last year BAJA1000 Champion, Roger Norman. Last year I had the opportunity to do it in the Baja Challenges class with BFGoodrich as a sponsor. This was a whole lot different for sure. Roger’s Pre runner got 700hp and state to the art performance.

Myself and Joe Parsons pre-running the BAJA500 with last years baja1000 champion roger norman.
Roger is getting ready for the BAJA 500 that is coming up here in 2 weeks and he sure looks strong out there. Having the 1000 championship from last year should help giving him the momentum.
Me and Joe Parsons both got to rip around the Baja obstacles in this amazing $300K+ truck. What a privilege.
I am normally hard to impress but when Norman got behind the steering wheel and new every corner at the 500mile stretch I was blown away.
There is something special with the freedom of Mexico. To get to race trough the hills and passing by villages and by the ocean and no one bathers you. For sure I got respect to what is going on down there with all of the drug cartels and kidnapping.
Right now I can’t wait to next time. I am hooked.

the steering knuckle broke lucky enough when we were driving fairly slow. just minutes before we reached speeds of 112mph..
