I got invited to go down and pre-run the BAJA500 with last year BAJA1000 Champion, Roger Norman. Last year I had the opportunity to do it in the Baja Challenges class with BFGoodrich as a sponsor. This was a whole lot different for sure. Roger’s Pre runner got 700hp and state to the art performance.

It was not a big surprise getting the message that Mopar was bailing out. But I was definitely hoping that they were going to stay for the rest of the season.
I understand their situation due to the economic status for Chrysler. So the fact that they tried so hard to maintain the drift program was really great to see.
NuFormz got two vipers one Charger and the Challenger. So we got plenty of cars to give new sponsors some great publicity on.
We are planing on competing in New Jersey with the viper. The truck is already over there with the Viper ready to rock.
In the mean time we will reach out to some companies we have relationships with and go from there.

Center Line, Mich. — Mopar®, Chrysler LLC’s Parts division, announced it will end its majority sponsorship of the NuFormz Racing team, which competes in the Formula Drift (FD) Series. Mopar’s sponsorship of the NuFormz Racing team will conclude following the June 5–6 event at Wall (N.J.) Speedway.

Mopar(R) NuFormz Dodge Viper SRT10(R) Formula Drift (FD) driver Samuel Hübinette suffered an earlier-than-desired exit on Saturday, May 9 in the Round Two: Proving Ground FD event at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga. Hübinette earned one round win before losing to eventual event winner Chris Forsberg in the Top 16 round of tandem eliminations.

Team Mopar driver Samuel Hübinette scored one round win before losing in the Top 16 at the Formula Drift Round Two: Proving Ground event at Road Atlanta on Saturday, May 9. The crowd was the largest ever to attend a Formula Drift event at the venue.

After two great qualification runs Samuel took fifth out of 38 teams at Road Atlanta. Tomorrow it’s all about tandem and Samuel had several good tandem runs in the practice. He feels confident for tomorrows competition!
I’m getting ready to go out to the track and start qualifying in a bit. Testing went really well yesterday and I feel good about this weekend!
